History

Cornworthy Village Hall is a community centre in Devon. Cornworthy Village Hall is situated nearby to St Peter’s Church and the forest Efford’s Close Copse.

The Village Hall was originally built as a poor house and then was used as a school from 1866. The school was attended by the children of the adjacent village Tuckenhay and the outlying farms in addition to the local children. It was closed as a school in 1963 and assumed its current incarnation as the Village Hall from 1981.
