We still have a few more numbers available, so if you would like to join please contact Rebecca Holderness through 100club@cornworthyvillagehall.uk, or pop a note in the letterbox at the Village Hall. 121 tickets have been sold for this year giving a total pot of £1,815. £908 will go to the Cornworthy Village Hall and these funds are a vital element of our annual fundraising total for maintenance and insurance. £907 will be paid out in prize money as follows: Every month £25 as 1st Prize  12x £25 £300 Every month £20 as 2nd Prize 12 x £20 £240 Every month £15 as 3rd Prize 12 x £15 £180 In addition to the December draw, we will also have a ‘bumper’ Christmas draw. 					<description><![CDATA[The latest phase of the Hall’s refurbishment programme; namely upgrading the bargeboards, has now been completed.  The new bargeboards have retained their characteristic shape but match the new external doors, we hope you like the Hall’s new look!  The Accoya wood, with its natural finish was selected for its durability and longevity, providing the benefit of reduced regular maintenance. Over £70,000 has now been spent over the last 2 years on upgrading and refurbishing the Hall. The works have focused on the electrical installation, heating, fire system and ventilation, as well as new internal doors.  During the latest phase, in addition to the new bargeboards and new external doors, some fenestration and other minor essential repairs have been dealt with. The next phase will be focused on the requirement to repair/replace the roof and install ceiling insulation.  The specification for the roofing works is being prepared and will then be costed by the retained contractors.  Watch this space for further news about “raising the roof”!
